Mandated them for a move from France to London. A lot of my valuable belongings has “disappeared” in the move (I bought a storage deal too), they also damaged a lot of expensive china… TR also put everything they didn’t want to load in a big pile at loading site too, pretending it was damaged- easier than moving the goods!... Turned up at site without boxes despite packing deal! Charged me around 10k for this brilliant service…have to sue them now. Avoid, dishonest people. Go with someone else, if you dont want to risk having your valuable stolen!

These are con people! do not use them. I booked them to move from a flat to a house 3 miles apart. They arrived late. 10 minutes into loading the van, head office calls me to say they would have to charge more because 3 pieces of furniture didn't fit in the lift (they never asked). In fact it was only the mattress that didn't go in the lift. They ended up moving a lot less furniture than quoted for in the first place. Also, the house has no lift. Once they arrived at the new place, they refused to unload unless I paid the remaining amount (50% plus the extra added in the morning) even though it had been agreed that I would pay upon completion of the service. They even threaten to leave with all my furniture. The two people doing the loading and unloading (which don't work for the company) were ok, but Yana and Pete are bullies and rude!

From starting to plan my move to the delivery itself the move went perfectly. I mostly spoke with Vicky at Top Removals and she was so helpful and answered emails quickly. When the moving men came they went out of their way and carried all my boxes up 5 flights of stairs for me despite that not being included in the price or the contract. The price for the whole move was the cheapest out there and all my things arrived in perfect condition. Top Removals made moving my belongings really easy and I'd highly recommend them.

I had a removal from Reading to Bristol. I did some research first and looked into the reviews. And I advise everyone to do the same. Some reviews are very alarming and help you avoid a bad situation.

My case was a relatively light move though and I didn't have any furniture. I packed everything myself and made sure everything is safely put in a box. And I also double-checked with company about the time and date. And again I advise others to do the same.

It was a smooth move. They showed up on time, even though it was a bank holiday, and there was no delay in delivering either. The cost was fair too.

Excellent removals company. Fantastic value - much cheaper than many other quotes. Their spreadsheet that you fill in to figure out how much van/lorry space you'll need is a big plus - much easier than figuring it out yourself!

Annie, who coordinated the move was so helpful, friendly and responsive. The guys who did the move itself were absolute machines - couldn't believe how fast it got done! No damage at all, and they were very careful with any fragile things. I really cannot recommend them enough.

I was very pleased with the team that moved our home from Barking to West Yorkshire. They were very polite, professional, hard working and nothing was too much trouble. It was pleasere to have met them and certainly will recommend the company to anyone interested.
My experience from the time my request was taken from the sales person to the last fitting of furniture at my new address was a positive one and the company offered as twice as cheaper price than Pickfords while maintained a better packing and moving process.

They arrived late and not enough people to remove large items, so I had to help out. Items damaged as not protected properly. They arrived late at the destination and would not deliver the items until paid for in cash, which was contrary to the agreement. They didn't want to work to the prior agreement of payment on delivery and were very unhelpful. They wouldn't even open the door to the vehicle to view the items to ensure they were still there and had not been unloaded on route, which was a suspicion that arose out of the totally unprofessional demeanour of these people. Abusive and uncooperative from start to finish. Use at your peril!

Very bad service, avoid at all costs.  They broke many of my plates and cups and told me it was my fault for packing wrong.  They also were happy for me to carry some of the boxes while they sorted the truck.  They were careless and unprofessional and didn't say sorry about my stuff. Tips:  Always tape everything up so the box can't break at all costs.  Have your camera ready to take pics of broken items as you will not be covered by insurance. Reception staff are helpful.  .

Guys turned up on time, packed up my flat in no time at all, dismantled furniture and loaded it all up following any instructions I gave them and always asking if I wanted a particular item to be kept out when they were unsure. So we left on time and arrived at my new house to find frantic packing going on. That's when the problems started: Top Removals had expected to be finished quickly so had another job booked in with our crew for mid-afternoon. When there was this delay I was faced with the choice of unloading enough of my stuff into the front garden of my new house so they could go off and do the second job, or pay £65/hour waiting fee. Arguing with the Head Office that they had told me the crew was mine all day, that I had not been told there was another job lined up, and that there was no reference to waiting charges in my contract was to no avail (and the person I spoke to was unhelpful at best and downright rude at worst). Chose the first option and the rest of my stuff turned up around four hours' later. The crew were efficient at getting it all out and putting it where I wanted it, so couldn't really fault them, but I would recommend against using the company given this kind of practice and the poor customer service I received.

We booked Top Removals after receiving high quotes from commercial removal companies. Everything was done over the phone, without them paying us a visit. I did find it all a bit dubious but we had no choice other than to trust them and a few decent reviews on the internet. There is no formal quote and you only receive a one line e-mail confirming the move date. 2 men arrived on time, we walked them through the flat and they seemed a bit surprised at all they had to pack, they did a good job overall with the packing although we had packed a few boxes ourselves, the job should have taken no more than 3-4 hours max to pack. It took them 6 hours to pack and load the goods into their van. They then stopped for food and to fill up petrol before delivering the goods and only turned up 2.5 hours later with our stuff as apparently they had a flat tire & had to call the AA to help them. I was repeatedly fobbed off when I called the office to inquire where they were, they did not have the decency to inform uf of this mishap until I called them. Unpacking took over 2 hours with them taking cigarette breaks throughout. Overall, totally unacceptable behavior and poor customer services. They charge you a flat fee and if you pay cash it excludes VAT but if you pay by debit card over the phone they charge VAT. Dodgy? I think so! There was no apology and no deserved discount for putting us through a thoroughly exhausting day. Made our move the move from hell! I will never use them again, I'd rather pay the extortinate fees of commercial companies and get a decent, fast service.

We used Top Removals for a removal in London and would not recommend them at all. Mr Dimitrov came to estimate a price which was prompty done. However, our bad experience started as soon as we had paid the deposit and we had nothing but endless problems with them.



1. The staff was rude and did not treat items with care (I saw them literately throwing some of our cardboard boxes between themselves)


2. The building that we moved out from was left in an appalling state: chocolate wrappers, strings, small pieces of cardboard boxes and so on were allover the staircase (I had to go back myself the following day to hoover)


3. Top Removals were supposed to move a coach from a room to another, they forgot to do so and promised to come back the day after; of course they never did, we never heard from them again


4. Several crystal glasses and some other items were broken


5. Our coach was filthy having been dragged along the ground outside and not wrapped


6. We requested a full service including packing and unpacking but they did just do the packing


7. When our complaints were made we were met with an unprofessional response or most often no response at all


Overall, the service was terrible and as soon as the deposit is paid it gets very difficult to communicate with them. (no responses to emails and so on)

This is the worst removals company we have ever come across, they refuse to take any responsibility and have not compensated us at all for the items they broke.

I've never seen two men work so quickly and so hard - they were BRILLIANT. Worth every penny of the very reasonable fee (which was cheapest we got). We could not have moved the items ourselves despite being fit and it made what would have been a very stressful day a breeze - moving house is hard and they took the moving worry away. I would use again in a flash I thought they were brilliant esp comared to the horror stories you hear. Could not fault them in every sense from arrival time to graft through to politeness and willingness to work. Highly recommended.

We were so nervous about moving the whole contents of our 2 bedroom flat. The guys from Top Removals were both courtesy and professional and managed to pack everything amazingly, with great efficiency and much skill and patients. They disassembled furniture where appropriate to facilitate easier moving of large items and despite having another job booked after ours, never made us feel rushed and took time to put all the boxes and furniture into the right rooms of our new property. I would highly recommend them to anyone moving.

Had booked a man and van for 1:30pm. At 1pm I received an SMS from the driver saying he was running late at the previous job at would arrive at 2pm. Around 2:15pm he had not showed. I called and he said he would be there in about 20 minutes. At 2:30pm I called again, he said he was still 15 minutes away. At 2:45pm he had still not showed up, I called again and he again said he'd be another 15 minutes. By this time it was 75 minutes after my original scheduled appointment and he was still not even in the area. I cancelled the service at that point. Would not recommend this company to anyone. .

 Removal from 1 bed flat to 4 bed house     Excellent service, very professional and extremely courteous and helpful. No damage to either property and all goods arrived intact. I had the packing service and everything was well wrapped in tissue and all boxes sealed well and marked with each room and items.   All goods taken to relevant rooms once at new property.       I will be giving the company details to friends and neighbours as the cost was very reasonable.   Communication with the company was so good and kept me updated at all times.            .

This was the third time I had used Top Removals in 2 years, and prior to this last occasion had been very happy with them the first two times (thus why I used them again). However, this time they damaged a chest of drawers to the point they were un-useable and put chips in my very expensive cot. I contacted them with photos of the damage and they said they would investigate. Over the next 6 months I emailed them in excess of 10 times, and after the initial response telling me they would investigate, I never heard from them again. So much for them having insurance and being an honest and reputable company. NEVER AGAIN.

Top Removals are/were contracted by Newham Council to assist with decanting homes closest to the Olympic Stadium. Our actual removers fee was paid for by our landlord, in this instance - the Council. Their MD/Rep visited my flat before the move and surveyed and advised on what items to pack.  They never mentioned anything about not packaging TVs for collection, and I actually highlighted this (its a 42inch LCD) at the visit. Tops delivered my TV to our new place damaged. I contacted them within 24hrs on the move - they sent a guy to 'investigate'. This guy assured me that their insurance would be notified and I would be covered. 3 months of stress and headache ensued until I actually gave up. They are corrupt, (tried to settle me with a second hand TV as long as I did not mention the damage to the landlord or future movers from my old estate). They are liars, failing to reply to countless messages every time. I had no choice to use them under the circumstances of my house move - but if you do have a choice be wary of what I have mentioned above. The recession is awful, however its good for cleansing away businesses like these.

These guys are more like a man with a van service, but less professional than some men with vans I have hired. They were good and prompt in the quoting stage, however that was it. I asked for them all day and double checked whether the truck would be big enough. They said yes but then the movers came three hours late, with a van that was far too small for a 1 bedroom flat.  Another van was sent after a long delay. It all started four hours too late and they were grumbling as if it was our fault. To make a long story shorter, the whole day was stressful. I was shocked by how they packed the truck, have never seen that kind of lack of care used. They assured me it would be fine. Move was finished past midnight. We have since found over £1000 of damage to furniture and home. The company clearly does not respond to our repeated requests for compensation despite advertising themselves as having insurance. What can I say - I'm kicking myself for not looking up this site before. Use these guys only if you have a very easy move.
